I went to the Dr. today and they checked to see how far I am progressing, if any. I am 1.5 cm dilated, 50% effaced and Brodie is at a -2 position. I want him to come so bad! I am ready for him to be here as much as I can be. I am washing up his clothes now. I know that you can't be 100% prepared for another baby but I am as much as I can be. I have been crampy but not consistent enough for it to mean anything really. With Reese she was born at 37 weeks and only 5 days before I was only 1 cm but 50% effaced then 5 days later Reese was here. So who knows when Brodie will decide to make his appearance. I REALLY want my mommy here to be with me since she wasn't here last time until Reese was older and I was out of the hospital. I don't know there is just something about having your mommy here. As much as I want Brodie here I want him to be healthy since Reese was in the NICU and never was with me. So here is to a new year with a new baby that is healthy that will come when he wants to come. (But hopefully soon!! :) )
* Oh and on a side note we have decided on his full name....Brodie Lee LaPierre...Lee after his daddy.

Nightgown
Here is a picture of Reese in her very first nightgown. She has plenty of jammies but this is her first pretty big girl night gown. Doesn't she look beautiful! Such a big girl. Sad, where is my baby going?

Five Amazing Years!!
Yesterday Jeremy and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary! It has gone by so fast! I can't believe it has been five years already. we have done so much. Have had (almost) 2 kids, moved to Utah and have lived here 4 years. Jeremy is almost (finally) done with school. we have gone on many trips and have a lot of fun. I love him so much and am so grateful for the wonderful man, husband and father he is. I LOVE YOU BABY! We went and had a fun day shopping in Park City eating good food and we stayed at the Anniversary Inn, which we had to change rooms because our room was stinky and leaking water so we got to stay in the Lighthouse Suite which was fun. All and all a great anniversary! Thanks to Allison to watching Reese. It was nice to have alone time and get away but when we got home it was the best feeling to have Reese run up to us wanting her Mommy and Daddy and just cuddled us and would get upset if we left the room. Happy Anniversary Baby! I LOVE YOU!

Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve Reese and I made sugar cookies and Reese loved sprinkling them. I found out a little to late that I didn't have red and green sprinkles but we enjoyed our multi-colored sprinkles. We set of Reese's Rose Petal cottage which was NOT fun to put together, very confusing but we made it through. Jeremy was able to get off work early again and was able to read to Reese The Night Before Christmas. It was a special night of stuffing stockings and playing Killer Bunnies with Allison.

Happy Birthday to me!
On the 23rd I celebrated my 23rd birthday. I was afraid it was going to be a sad day because I wasn't able to celebrate it with my mommy. Jeremy and my girlfriends made sure my day was special. I was able to go to lunch with my girlfriends. It was nice to catch up because we don't get to see each other as much. Lisa and Laura have moved away and since it is so cold outside I don't get to see Tamber or Rebecca as much even though they are just feet away from me. It was nice to get out without kids! Being able to just hang out as ladies was fun! While I was out Jeremy and Allison cleaned up the house and Jeremy bought me flowers and gave me a really sweet Christmas ornament, it was a engraved ornament with a picture of our little boy in it. It was the sweetest thing he has ever given me for my birthday. He put so much thought into his gifts this year I couldn't stop smiling all day! It was really nice too because I knew Jeremy had to work but he got off work early so we got to spend the evening together watching movies. All chick flicks too! LOL! Allison and I enjoyed them at least!

SNOW!!
We have had A LOT of snow come over the past week. We didn't really have any snow on Sunday when Allison came and now there is snow everywhere and a lot of it! On Saturday Jeremy found a baby sled that Reese could sit in as he pulls her around. She loves it and giggles when her daddy pulls her around. The snow is so deep outside we can barely see Peanut outside!

Gingerbread House
Last night we finally built our gingerbread house. Those things are not easy to put together! The frosting and I did not get along! Reese loved decorating it though. At first she didn't realize she could actually eat it but once she did, thats all she did! She loved the frosting! YUMMY! Here are some pictures of our beautiful house.

Visit to Salt Lake City
On Saturday Jeremy had the day off so we went up to Salt Lake to see Christmas lights and of course do a little shopping. First we had lunch at the Mayan, which is a really fun place to eat where they put on a little show while you are eating and you are eating in the Mayan jungle. We went to Tai Pan, Down East outfitters clearance outlet, and the Gateway mall. We had a lot of fun and the Christmas lights and Temple square are always beautiful. Reese was not so happy when we where doing Christmas lights and passed out on the way to the restaurant. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday. It was super yummy!! I love me some cheesecake! I had the 30th anniversary cheesecake and I highly recommend it!

Being Pregnant In the Winter
Being preggo in the winter has is advantages, you hide behind sweaters and don't have to worry to much about being cold. In hiding behind sweaters some people just think you are fat and not pregnant. I have received many comments on WOW I didn't even know you where pregnant! Really? I am huge and you didn't think pregnant? Nice, I am fat. THANKS!! I would have to say the worse thing so far though is although it is nice to get the snow, snow comes with ice and big fat pregnant lady, opps, I mean pregnant lady who is pretty clumsy does not do well sliding across the street bringing children to school. Lets hope Brodie comes before I fall on my butt and hurt us both. I told Brodie he is allowed to come the second week of January. He would be a full term 37 weeks then. So lets hope he listens and comes then.

So sick of school
Jeremy just ended his last semester and I cannot even tell how sick of school I am. We only have 4 semesters left and if we can get the money he will go in summer and graduate next May. I cannot wait for him to graduate. I feel like we have been in this stage of life way to long, I am going to go crazy! I am sick of school stress, I am sick of school money and I am sick of being a starving student in EVERY WAY!!! ARGGGGHHH!!! We have so much going on all the time I feel like all we do is run from one place to another. Here it is only about a week from Christmas and I don't feel like we have really done anything Christmas-y. These holidays are just going to be depressing and lonely anyways so I just want to get it over with. I know we will have fun with Reese and she is going to have a blast but I just feel like nothing is going to meet the expectations in my head. I don't even know how to plan or make a Christmas dinner. I know it includes ham but I don't want to make Thanksgiving again. Yuck. I am done with Thanksgiving food. Here is to sucky school, sucky birthdays, sucky Christmas and I am ready to have a GREAT 2009!

"I Baby"
This is Reese's favorite thing to say lately besides "No way" I don't know where she got it from but its funny. She is in her "I baby" phase. I don't know if it has anything to do with Brodie coming but she wants to sleep in her crib again when she has been in her big girl bed, she will let her daddy hold her like a baby and yesterday we got the car seat out of storage to make sure it is cleaned up and she climbed in it, "I baby". Uh oh. Let's hope she is out of this phase when Brodie is actually here. This pregnancy is getting a little on my nerves. I never had contractions before Reese actually came, only about a week before at most. Nope not with Brodie, he likes to make mommy suffer. I talked to my Dr. and he says that a lot more moms the 2nd time get more pregnancy aches than they did with the first. Great! We are 33 wks only 7 more wks to go! YEAH! Now to get on the list for my sister to do while she is here ;)

Anniversary Inn
I am so happy we booked our room for our anniversary! We wanted to do something fun and different because its our 5th. Being and pregnant and all we can't go far and my lovely sister will watch our baby so we are just going up to SLC and staying in the Anniversary Inn. There rooms can be pricey $269 for the one we got but the had a special going on tonight that if you booked the room before 9 tonight and stayed before Dec 31 2009 you can get it for $159! Saving a $100! Yeah! I am so excited to do something fun and different and to save money in the process makes me even more happy! :)

Electrician
We finally had an electrician come out to fix our kitchen. Half of our power in our kitchen has been out for 6 months. We asked an electrician how much it could possibly be back in July and they quoted us $200-300 bucks just to come out and look at it!! We just didn't have any money sitting around so we lived without the power but I have been dying without my microwave and the annoying-ness of having to move my kitchen aid every time I wanted to use it so I caved in and said screw it we don't have the money but I don't care is it goes on the credit card!! They came this morning and we had a wire that had been sparking and melted the nut and he fixed it told Jeremy to changed the GCFI outlet and only charged us $65! Are you kidding me! I could of had my power working 6 months ago for $65! Well lesson learned always have an efund to fix unexpected things! We will now begin working on that. Well now that our power was so cheap A HUGE BLESSING to fix we now are going to get our car fixed. We have to get a new power steering cable or something this weekend so the money is still spent that we don't have but at least everything is working and we will be ok through the winter. It' so nice when everything is fixed and in order. Now to get my house deep cleaned before the holidays and before Brodie gets here.

Christmas Decorating
This year is going to be difficult because Reese is into everything! This year we bought a pre-lit tree from walmart so that was alot easier and we dont have to worry about the evil pine needles!! Reese loves the tree and we bought her a special tinkerbell ornament but it doesn't stay on the tray very long. So I am thinking about not decorating it any further because I will be finding ornaments in the house until next Christmas. My sister will be here in two weeks and we only have 3 weeks until Christmas! Yikes! I am done with my shopping but Jeremy and I need to plan something for our anniversary. I have to see when he gets time off for work too.

Thanksgiving Break
It is really nice working for a school because I get all of the school holidays off!! It sucks when you don't get the paycheck which will be missed in two weeks but it is nice to have some time off when you are pregnant and have a two year chasing you around. Jeremy found out a few weeks ago he had 32 hrs of vacation time he didn't realize he had left and he has to use it by the end of the year or he loses it so he is taking tomorrow and Thanksgiving off. I am so happy he is going to be able to spend the holiday at home and we don't have to rush and eat dinner and rush him off to work. We can relax as a family and have Thanksgiving together and start setting up for Christmas. Everything has been ok around here, I have had some contractions which aren't good but they are just because of stress and doing to much but I am beginning to learn how much I can really handle and how much I can't. Jeremy broke the tip of his finger the other day when our window got stuck and he tried to shut it and of course when he exerts the most force his finger gets in the way and slam! Hurt finger. Jeremy's physical therapy is working well so far so it looks like we don't have to get surgery. YEAH! We are going to get family photos taken tomorrow so hopefully I will have some previews to post.

Brodie
Yesterday we had a Dr. Appt. Everything is going well. I am measuring big but no surprise there, I measured big with Reese and ended up having her 2 weeks early. Apparently there is a new state law that was passed 6 months ago saying the wont schedule C-sections any early than 39 wks. So the earliest I can have my C-section is Jan. 30. Even though my ultrasound puts my due date on Jan 31. I have a feeling he is not going to wait until Jan 30. I hope he does because I really want my mommy to be here. She wasn't able to be there last time because Reese was early. So hopefully he cooks as long as possible. We are officially scheduling the C-section on my next appointment Dec 12. It is getting so close!! I can't believe we are only 10 wks (or earlier) away!! There is so much to do and still prepare for and of course the holidays! Jeremy thinks its going to be funny is he comes on Christmas which is to early but he laughed saying we would have a Halloween and then one on Christmas! Yikes! We don't need anything else to celebrate in December. We have my bday, Christmas and our anniversary all with a week. So no need to throw in another bday! 10 weeks and counting, lets hope I can get everything done!

Allison
My little sister Allison is coming to stay with us for Christmas! Yeah! We got a killer deal with Southwest and she is staying with us December 14- January 5. I am so happy that we won't be totally alone on the holidays. I am so excited for her to get here! And a bonus we have a built in babysitter for our 5 year anniversary! We are going to have to think of really fun things to do while she is out here. Any ideas? I gotta hook her up with a return missionary too....so much to do so little time ;)

Physical Therapy
Jeremy started physical therapy on his ankles today. He called me once and they where doing shock therapy! YIKES! We are hoping the this works for Jeremy's ankles and strengthens them so he doesn't have to have surgery. The physical therapist is optimistic. So hopefully in about a month Jeremy's ankles will be better. He is at a new facility that doesn't have all the braces in stock so we had to go buy Jeremy ankle braces and they are $70 bucks!! Holy smokes! But at least he is out of his boot, he hated that boot and it hurt him so I am glad he doesn't have to wear it anymore. Hopefully Jeremy will be able to start flying again with the smaller braces, we have a lot of flying to catch up on.

Update
I guess I should update this blog more than I do. Our car started working again the moment we took it to the shop, of course. In the process we found out a lot of work we need to put into our car to prevent future problems. I guess the car not starting is a blessing because now we will be replacing the parts in our car and *hopefully* we wont have any problems with the car. Especially not in the winter with a newborn and a toddler. Jeremy will be finished with his semester in the next few weeks and then we will only have 4 semesters more to go! YEAH! I am just working and getting ready for the holidays. I love this time of the year but it will be really different this year because we are going to be all alone. We don't have any family here and aren't going to be able to go home because I will be to far along and cost. So it will be sad not going to all of our families houses. As busy as it is when we go home and we are running to everyones houses and trying to see everyone we love it because it keeps us busy and we get to visit with everyone. This year we will be entertaining ourselves and its so sad because Reese is so excited with Christmas this year. She loves all the "pretty" decorations. Hopefully before Thanksgiving we can get an electrician out here to fix our power in our kitchen that has gone out AGAIN!! Jeremy has tried everything so I think its time to hire a professional. I don't know why but I know that the power of the Lord is blessing me and keeping me positive this year. Our car makes me nervous, our electricity needs to be fixed and its a lonely holidays but I know it is all going to work out. I know I will be sad and probaly have a very emotional holiday but I know the Lord is watching me and giving me a positive attitude and that our lives are going ok. We just need to keep on keeping on and stick to our plans. I love the Lord and how he blesses out lives and the lives of our families.

Blessings
Things have been tight around here lately. I haven't been in the nicest of all moods some days being pregnant and feeling so strapped and wanting so much more for my family. I know the day will come when we aren't in school and don't have debt but it is so hard sometimes to look on the happier side. Today I was reading another blog and this lady was commenting on how she was at Walmart at midnight and her checker was a 70 year old man with shaking hands and his shift was just starting. It broke my heart even thinking about that little old man. It makes me think how truly blessed I am and how much Heavenly Father looks after our family. I am grateful for every blessing I have been given. It just made me think I need to stop being negative nelly and be happy that even though Jeremy's job doesn't appreciate him, at least he has a job and we are in school making something for our future and as much as I don't like working I have a job I can bring Reese to if I need to and its very flexible and really is a blessing in my life. I think we all need to be a little more positive and realize our blessings and help those who truly are in need.

Our Next President
I dont want to get all political on anyone but this one REALLY pissed me off. I don't understand this what so ever. I read on another blog, not a blog connected to mine (thankfully) once again this is this persons thoughts NOT mine. This person said...should we call it the "half black house" now? Are you freaking kidding me!! I like Barack Obama. I don't believe in everything he says or plans, keyword plans on doing but he is going to be our next president like it or not. I don't think we like everything from any candidate. Don't make yourself look stupid and talk down about a man because of his race. It just shows ignorance in your part I think. Sorry this just got my blood pumping and made me angry that people can be so...I don't even think I have a word for it. *sigh*

Bread Bowls
Today was a stormy rainy day so I decided to make broccoli cheddar soup and since we didn't have any bread bowls I decided to try to make them homemade. I know some of you are super awesome and this is no big deal for you but I was so excited to make them and see how they came out. They where so easy to make and we delicious! I felt like a little super mommy in the kitchen tonight whipping up homemade bread bowls for my family. I got the recipe of Cathy Twitchell's blog, I am going to post it here as well so I always have it and so those of you who don't read her blog can have the recipe too. Thanks Cathy for posting it! It was delicious! I was going to post pictures of me ever so proud with my bread bowls but my camera battery was dead.
Ingredients:
2 ½ cups warm water
3 tablespoons sugar
2 packages dry active yeast
1 tablespoon salt
5 tablespoons oil
6 cups all-purpose flour
Method:
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl or the bowl of an electric bread mixer, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the top and stir. Wait 10 minutes until yeast mixture is frothy. Add salt, oil, and half of the flour. Beat well in mixer or with a wooden spoon. Add remaining flour and mix well until a soft dough forms. You may need to add a little more flour. You don't want the dough to be very sticky. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead 2 or 3 times to coat with flour. Divide into 8 to 10 equal parts, depending on size of bowls desired. Form into large balls and place in small foil pans (small pot pie pans work well). Allow dough bowls to rise for 45 minutes or until the bowls are the size you want. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from pans. Cut off tops and hollow out insides. Serve with soup.
Makes 8 to 10 bowls.

Halloween
So everyone knows already Reese's birthday was on Halloween. When she woke up, she was surprised with balloons and a pumpkin pancake with a chocolate chip face, YUMMY! She loved it! Then she hung out with her daddy and watched the Tinkerbell movie for the 10th time. By the way if you have a little girl the new Tinkerbell movie is great! Reese absolutely loves it! We went out to lunch at Red Robin because she got a free birthday meal and walked around the mall doing a little early trick or treating. Jeremy then had to go to work for a little bit. We put Reese down for a nap and her and I went for a little bit of early trick or treating around the complex and then went to our wards trunk or treat with Jeremy. We had a lot of fun driving around seeing the spooky houses. Reese loves spooky decorations. I think its really cute she doesn't get scared. I guess thats why she truly is a Halloween baby.

Happy Birthday Reese!!
Happy Birthday to my favorite little 2 year old in the world. I love that she is getting to be such a vibrant and happy 2 year old but I am still sad every birthday it seems that my baby is not so little as she was the year before. Being a mommy is the best thing in whole wide world. It has its rough days (many) but I just love to go in her room and look at her sleeping and give her kisses and cuddle her. Reese has grown so fast over these past 2 years. This year seems like a total blur. She has gotten many teeth perfected walking even though some days it seems like she'll trip over anything. She is very saucy. Has a personality all her own. She loves "rella" which is all Cinderella. She also calls tinkerbell and sleeping beauty "rella" but she knows if you where to ask her who "rella" was she would point to the right princess. She loves dressing up and playing with her best little friend Mea. She wakes her daddy and mommy up when we are "sleeping" by kissing us because of sleeping beauty. We pretend to sleep a lot to get some smooches! She loves her pup-pup, our dog Peanut. She went to Disney World this year and had lots of fun with Mickey and had a unhealthy crush on Handy Manny. lol. Happy Birthday my little monkey. I love you more than anything in the world.

Carving Pumpkins
Last Monday for FHE we carved our pumpkins. Reese at first didn't like the guts but then began to enjoy scooping them out. She LOVES when we light our pumpkins up and loves all the "Spooky" decorations people have put out.

Buzzz...Eww
Our house has been attacked by yellow jackets lately. There was a nest by a bush on the outside of our house and every time they sprayed to kill them, some just decided to have a dieing party in out house. Reese has seen them in our windows and goes buzzzz, mommy buzzzz. Then I agree that there are buzzes in our window and she makes the cutest little face and hand gesture and goes "Eww" Well on Saturday I put her costume on her to go get some free stuff at Old Navy and she through a royal fit!! Screaming at me and trying to rip her costume off. I told my mom and Jeremy I didn't get the cute sweet lady bug,I got the one from Bugs Life thats ticked its a Lady Bug. I couldn't figure out why she was so mad, we had worn the costume before and she cried taking it off not putting it on. She eventually calmed down and worn it for the rest of the afternoon. On Sunday she put her lady bug hat on and came up to me buzzing. She didn't want to be a lady bug because she didn't want to be an "EW". LOL. She thought she was an "EW" it was too cute now looking back but I hope we don't have the same fit on Halloween.

99 more days!
Less than 100 days until little man gets here! I am so excited and scared at the same time, how will I handle two? Jeremy and I are in a good rhythm with our schedules so it will take some time to figure out. We have decided on a first name. It is Brodie. We have a middle name but we keep changing it so I won't let anyone know until we are for sure. This pregnancy is going by so much faster! He is so strong and I feel him all the time. Reese I felt every once in awhile but he lets me know he is here! Well we are excited for our little boy if you can't tell!! 99 more days to go!! ( less is he comes early) :)!!

Reese's 2nd Birthday Party
Today we had Reese's party at Kangaroo Zoo. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work as well. Jeremy had a broken ankle and another hurt foot so he was stuck with camera/picture duty and I was stuck being 6 months pregnant hauling my fat butt up these slides. I am exhausted. I can't seem to wind down yet though because we have been go go going all day long. Jeremy just left for work and I'm trying to see if Reese will nap so I can as well ;). Her party was really fun we had a lot of good friends show up and it was good to be able to hang out with some people we don't get to see all the time. Reese loved jumping and bouncing around and loved all of her presents and the attention. Thanks everyone for coming and making Reese's party so much fun. Thank you also to my mommy and Johnny for paying for the party and coming up with the idea for Kangaroo Zoo. It was so much fun. Now I think I am going to pass out!

Lots of bubbles
This is what happenes when husbands do dishes....or should I say at least mine! To give Jeremy credit when he does the dishes he does do a good job. I think that some dawn was left from rinsing the dishes and bubbled out. I think he was just trying to be sweet and clean the floors! ;)

Reese's Party Invites
My mom gave me this idea for Reese's party invitations, so I made a couple today and will finish the rest tonight. I think they are so cute. Sorry for the people I have to mail invites to, they wont be as cute ( I can't really fit a wand in an envelope). But I am posting them because my mom is dying to see them! I am so excited for her party. We are having it at Kangaroo Zoo, which is a place with tons of inflatable jumpers! I know Reese will have a blast!

Hair Cut
I finally got my hair cut! I haven't had it cut since December! A long time. I had to wait a little longer due to the pregnancy, and I just really dont like spending money on myself so Jeremy told me to go get it done and I sucked it up and just did it. I really like it. Here it is.Don't you like the pink? Don't worry its a clip in but I like it. Its fun.

Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point
On Saturday we went up to Thanksgiving point to go to their Fall Festival thing of sorts, its called Cornbellys. We went up with Melissa and girls. It was really fun. We went last year and they didn't have near as much to do but this year was a blast and Reese is older and able to enjoy it more. Reese loved jumping in the princess castle jumper, dressing up as a princess in the princess pumpkin patch. Jeremy and her had a lot of fun on the slides and Reese went on her first ride by herself. She rode on a cow ride that took her around the pumpkin patch. Then a family hay ride. We had so much fun. I loved it. If we lived closer, I would have passes to go all the time. I love fall. After Cornbelly's we went over to a very yummy burger joint called JCW's. YUMMY. I recommend it. Reese of course got to get a little pumpkin to take home. So we have our first pumpkin of the season.

Flat Stanley
My little brother Parker sent me his Flat Stanley to Utah to hang with us for a few weeks. He went to work with me and went flying with Jeremy. He also had an accident that required some surgery, Reese liked his shakey eyes, she liked them so much she ripped them off. YIKES!!! I couldn't send flat Stanley back blind so I fixed him up with some minor surgery. I am happy to say he made it through the procedure and is back on his way to Georgia.

For my mom...
My mom has been asking for a pregnant picture of me. I don't like being all big and feel 10x bigger than I am. But since she won't be able to see me this pregnancy at all and give into my craving of Country's BBQ chicken fingers with dippin' sauce. I figured I would at least make her day because I love her so much and post these pics for her. I am 21 wks. This was taken today.
