She ordered me an I pod touch! She also got it engraved for my birthday with a sweet message on the back. How sweet right!?! I know I have the worlds greatest mom ;)!! I am so excited to start running with it. Know I just need to update my music. Club mix '98 isn't as cool as it used to be...lol. I am wanting to start my 24 th yr and the new year jammin out!! :) Thanks mom!

Port of Columbus

Columbus has a really cool civil war naval museum. It can be kinda pricey on a normal day but they had a Victorian Christmas where you can go to the museum and see what Santa would look like back in Victorian times and they let you in free of admission. I am all about doing cool and different things with the kids but being free too sign me up! It was really interesting we had a good time and of course we got to see Santa. I like this family pic of us but Jeremy has his eyes closed! Grr! Of all people...lol we got Reese to smile but Jer messed us up...;) We are in our Bama attire because it was game day!

Potty Power!!

Reese I can say hopefully without jinxing myself or knocking on wood is potty trained!! It was a long hard battle but I think we made it! She hasn't had an accident in 3 days and woke up this morning to pee rather than pee in her bed. She has been going to bed in panties and waking up dry. YEAH! I wanted her to be potty trained by 3. I don't know why just had a number in my head. Of course every child is different and we have had a few life changing situations. Brodie being born and moving to Georgia. I am just happy for her being a big girl and moving on having Potty Power!! Which is from a silly movie from the library but she liked it.

What has happened?

I haven't really blogged in awhile, I used to be good at it. I guess some of it has to do with the fact I used to blog to show my family pictures of the kids and share what was going on in our lives. Since we live here that seems redundant. I guess I need to look at it in a matter of preserving memories and letting our friends (whom we miss dearly) whats going in our lives now.

Jeremy had his first day of work today in 6 very LONG months. I am so happy to be going into Thanksgiving having something to wonderful to be thankful for.

Brodie is starting to walk. Yes my little 9 month (almost 10) old baby is trying to walk and can get at least 3 steps on a good day.

Reese turned 3 on halloween and since is having a hard time understanding why every birthday party isn't for her. She is also getting much better on the potty.

I am...well...I just am. Nothing really special going on here. I am going to try to be taking an English class soon to get done with my basics in school. It was my last one left. I have a billion craft projects and ideas in my head I need to get together. I need to make a list and start making so idea binders so I don't loose any of them. I used to be able to get them done and have a sense of purpose with my baking and cooking and craft making but its hard when you dont have your stuff. I need some girl friends. I have my family but I need someone I can talk to during the day when Brodie and Reese arent really stimulating conversation. We are all well and healthy and looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with our families. We haven't been home for Thanksgiving in 5 yrs so it will be nice to not to have cook...lol who I am kidding, huh Mom.

More Pumpkins!!

Being with family is great, we get two of everything :). Tonight we did pumpkins with Jeremy's family. Aiden and Meadow came over and where able to do pumpkins with us. Reese loves playing with Meadow. They had such a great time together. Aiden did the classic triangle eyes pumpkin and I cut the girls pumpkins they could of cared less about the pumpkins after we gutted them...I cut a sick pumpkin and a dog. They turned out cute.

Gold Rush

We went up to North Georgia to my sisters college to visit and watch her in there Gold Days parade. She is the first and only female on the rifles team up there. We are so proud of her. It is so beautiful up there, I loved it. It was so quaint and small town feel. We need to go visit her again soon. I miss you Allison!! Can you tell which one is a girl..?

How about now? lol :) Brodie fell asleep during the parade...how sweet Me and my Mommy

Trying to take a family photo but with two small children this is what you get

Pumpkins

We went over to my moms house last night and cut our pumpkins. We need a cool fancy easy pumpkin cutting knife...I broke two of my moms ghetto pumpkins knives! My mo and me have awesome looking pumpkins, mine is the skull...we had to force Devin to cut a pumpkin and that ghetto little pumpkin is hers...with the marker on its face still. Sad.

The Infamous 3 POUND cinnamon roll!

When we where driving across the country we stopped in San Antonio, Texas to visit with Jeremy's uncle. We had a fun time visiting with him and his family. Recently Jeremy and I had watched an episode of Man vs. Food and he had to eat a 3 pound cinnamon roll. So being the adventurers we are...lol, we decided to take it for a spin. It was fun to hang out with out the kids and try to tackle the cinnamon roll...mmmm I am drooling thinking about it.

Halloween Oreos

MMmmm...we made chocolate covered oreos this past week with Reese and they where so yummy. She had so much fun putting the cookies in and squeezing the chocolate out. Halloween is so much fun!.

The bigger the bow the closer to heaven

Reese has a few bows when we lived in Utah but since moving to Georgia grandma or should i saw me-maw lol (Reese calls my mom this and we all think it hilarious because she didnt want a southern grandma name) has gotten her a "few" bows I love them and think they are so adorable. Here is one of her new bows, we where on our way to story time.

Georgia Rain!

It rains A LOT in Georgia and for a little girl who really has never experience a true Georgia rain storm it was awesome. She loved jumping in the puddles and having fun.

Don’t Waste the Days of Your Probation

Image

“One of the ways Satan lessens your effectiveness and weakens your spiritual strength is by encouraging you to spend large blocks of your time doing things that matter very little. I speak of such things as sitting for hours on end watching television or videos, playing video games night in and night out, surfing the Internet, or devoting huge blocks of time to sports, games, or other recreational activities.

“Don’t misunderstand me. These activities are not wrong in and of themselves (unless, of course, you are watching salacious programs or seeking out pornographic images on the Internet). Games, sports, recreational activities, and even television can be relaxing and rejuvenating, especially in times when you are under stress or heavily scheduled. You need activities that help you to unwind and rest your minds. It is healthy to go onto the soccer field or the basketball court and participate in vigorous physical activity.

“But I speak of letting things get out of balance. It is not watching television, but watching television hour after hour, night after night. Does not that qualify as idling away your time? What will you say to the Lord when He asks what you have done with the precious gift of life and time? Surely you will not feel comfortable telling Him that you were able to pass the 100,000-point level in a challenging video game.

“One devastating effect of idling away our time is that it deflects us from focusing on the things that matter most. Too many people are willing to sit back and let life just happen to them. It takes time to develop the attributes that will help you to be a well-balanced person.”

Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, “Be Strong in the Lord,” Ensign, July 2004, 13–14.

I was reading this and I know I need to be better about how I plan my time and activities. I just thought it was a good quote to share.

October!!

Wow, I can't believe it is already October. I love the fall and getting ready for the holidays. Halloween is the kick off to it all and Reese's birthday pa-looza! This is her first birthday around family so it will be fun! This past week my mom and I started out making what would thought would be an hour long project that spanned a few nights and a couple iron burns that I will probaly have scars over but here is my finished project...A Halloween advent calendar. I love it and we learned a thing or to when we go to make one again. It was nice to have something crafty and fun to do. I haven't had a craft project to do in awhile.

It ended as it began

We moved out of our home this week. When we first bought our home we where so excited to own our own home that the first night we slept on the feather bed on the floor and Reese was in the playpen. Well the last night in our home we slept on the floor again with the babies in the playpens. It was kinda a sweet ending to this chapter in our home. We drove 13 hours the first night and crashed in Roswell New Mexico. There was aliens on the outside of the Walmart. We are in San Antonio Texas with Jeremy's uncle. We are having a good time relaxing outside of the car! We are going to the Alamo tomorrow. We should be in Georgia on Tuesday to get our babies back on the routine. We are excited to be with family and start this new chapter in our lives.

Sickness

This has not been a fun week, we have been yucky sick for what it seems like forever. Nothing much really going on here. Just trying to rent our condo, getting over sickness and trying to soak up every free Utah activity we can to keep up entertained. I would have pictures to post be Reese was playing with the camera and deleted them all. How nice of here, we will have to keep a sharper eye out for that. We went to the Aviary in Salt Lake last week and had a good time checking out all the birds. It was REALLY hot outside and poor little Brodie was so hot and tired. Brodie is army crawling like a champ and Reese is going potty on the toilet, only if she is naked. She hasn't quite mastered the wearing panties that aren't diapers thing but she will pee in the toilet all day if she is naked. Nothing else really going on here!

Dentist

Reese had her first dental check up this past Wednesday. I was prepared for a melt-down but Reese did awesome, she didn't want to leave her X-ray chair because she got to wear a smilie face lead vest. She did great and got a clean bill of health.

Drive In Movie

I have always have fun memories of going to a drive-in movie and there is a drive in movie theater in Salt Lake so we went up last night and saw a double feature. Jeremy had never been to a drive in before. I was so excited to go! We had a great time even though my children would never fall asleep! Brodie finally fell asleep at 11:00 and Reese never did until we left at 1 AM! Funny girl. We saw Ice Age 3 and Night at the Museum 2. It was really fun making a bed in the trunk of our car and just having so fun family time together. I know the kids are to young to remember it but I hope to find one in Georgia and do it at least once a summer like my mom did with us. If you haven't gone in SLC, I HIGHLY recommend it.

Scottish Festival

Since we are leaving Utah in August and Jeremy is unemployed we have been trying to do all sorts of local free festivities. We went to the Scottish Festival with our friends the Perry's. They had a lot of neat things, like log throwing and a lot of scottish bag pipe bands playing it was really fun and different thing to try, I think this weekend we are going to the llama festival. LOL. I know llama festival, only in Utah. I don't remember GA having all sorts of cool fun things like this to do in the summer. I will have to scope it out more know since having kiddies. Reese saw this jumper thing and had to do it, she had a blasted and loved every minute of it.

Grotto Trail

We went on a small little hike today as a family and it was so calming and a much needed break from the stresses of joblessness. We are looking forward to doing more hiking as a family and are planning a trip up to doughnut falls to hike up there. Jeremy would love to go camping but with a 5 month old and a 2 yr old...shoot me in the foot. LOL! We will stick to family friendly hikes for right now. We love Utah's beautiful mountains and scenery.

Go Daddy!

Jeremy has been playing softball as a sub on his friends team, he really enjoys it but the games start so late we haven't been able to watch them. Yesterday he had a make-up game from a rained out game at 6:30 so we packed up the kiddies and went to see our daddy play. Reese loved watching Jeremy she kept saying "Go daddy" and would get so excited when she saw him on the field. It was so adorable. Reese is her Daddy's #1 fan.
