Brodie is here!!!

Brodie was born at 1:23 am on January 29th. He weighed 8 lbs 10.8 oz 20 inches long. He is a cute little man. After much thought and prayers I opted to try for a VBAC. It was a very scary choice because of the chance of rupture. I thought it would be a lot easier...lol that crap was painful. I had an epidural and everything but I took forever to progress. We checked into the hospital at 3ish and I was at a 3 cm dilation. At 5 i was only at a 4-5 cm and was not progressing very fast which lasted until about 10 pm. Then the Dr ordered pictocin, which was very scary for me because I knew it made my contractions harder which puts you at a higher chance of rupturing. Once they gave me that I could feel the crap out of my contractions. I had some more drugs given to me but I kept feeling pressure. The dr. then told me you will feel the pressure there is really nothing we can do for the pressure. OUCH! That is all I have to say about that! I quickly progressed to an 8, then 9.5 then FINALLY the big 10! I was ready to push, since this was my first vaginally birth the nurses said I would have to push for 1-2 hours....yeah right ladies I am getting this baby out because it HURTS! Well after 30 minutes of pushing with my great husband/coach cheering me on, we had Brodie. It was the most beautiful and fulfilling thing I have every done. We are so happy that he is here on the same end the delivery went great Brodie swallowed some menchonium (sorry i can't spell it) basically black tar poop when you are first born and his cord was around his neck for a little bit. So he has a C-pap mask on right now and they are working on his lungs because he is having issues regulating his breathing and they are also checking for infections and he has been transferred to Nursery level 2 just like Reese was. Well I finally got my vaginally delivery which is soooo much nicer right after that I can get up and walk and what not but I don't have my baby boy with me. We are just saying prayers that everything will be ok just like Reese was. Sorry to bore you with such a long story but Jeremy is asleep and I just have a million thoughts in my head. Here are some pictures of our baby boy....he has big lips ready for me to kiss on and big feet, such a beautiful little boy.

Wow! So brave a VBAC! I am so excited for you. He is beautiful! The c-pap is the lowest help though so that is good, I am sure he will be in your arms in no time, I know how hard the waiting is.
