26 Days of Kindness

First of all I want to say I did not come up with this idea but saw in on another ladies blog and LOVED it. I am turning 26 in December and to celebrate I am going to go one random act of kindness a day until my birthday. I have to start in two weeks. I know it might sound weird but I think it helps all of us when we look outside ourselves and help others. Sometimes we can be an answer to their prayers and they can answer ours by us serving them and by serving them we are serving our Lord. I know that my birthday lands very close to Christmas and so everyone is a little more in the giving mood this time of season but I encourage all of my friends and family to look a little outside themselves in this busy season and see how a simple, it doesnt have to be grand act of kindness can make someone smile. So here is to 26 days of kindness starting soon. I dont want it to seem like I am telling anyone I am going to so this to toot my own horn as my mom says but rather to encourage and inspire others maybe to do it for their birthdays that may not fall around the holiday season. May we all look out for reasons to serve each other and strangers and in doing that we are being the hands for our God here on Earth.

Playing in the truck

Jeremy drives a linen truck and its BIG. Brodie loves to see his daddy in his super fun truck. So after we dropped Reese off at school we walked daddy back to his truck and got to sit in the drivers seat for a minute :)

Reese first day of PreK!

Reese started PreK today! She was so excited. She didn't even mind getting up at 6:30, which is early for both sleeping beauty and her mother. We had muffins for breakfast, her request, got dressed and out to nanas house to drop off Peanut at doggie daycare. We can't leave Peanut alone in the house or he will poop in the house. NO matter how long he has been outside. Its what we call and F-you poo. Anyways, Jeremy meet us at school so we could say goodbye to out little girl together. She didn't shed a tear, she was ready to go!! The only thing that made me a little sad was as we where leaving Brodie called out through the school fence "Where did she (Reese) go?" Poor boy is all alone with boring ol' mommy. He missed his sissy and was my little twin all day not letting me out of his site. Reese loved her first day of school and is ready to go back tomorrow!

Bowling

We went bowling today and had so much fun! I cant wait to do it again and have everyone with us. Reese and Parker loved it. I love that the bowling alley gives kids 2 free games a day so all we had to do was pay for the shoes for them. My mom also had her best score ever!! look at that form !

Water Bombs

I made some sponge water bombs for the kids today and I have to say it was a "hit". I expect A LOT of use for them this year since it is so HOT! We are also planning on making a kid car wash sometime this week. I got the idea HERE. NOTE: I used dental floss because the fishing line kept slipping in my hands and they actually came apart when we played with them. The dental floss works great and is already handy at the house. To make the smaller ones I cut the sponges "hot dog" instead of "hamburger". You can experiment on our sizes. My mom says the bigger ones are easier to catch but I think the little ones are so cute :)

No Bummer Summer

We are taking a cue from Judy Moody and having a No Bummer Summer. I have made a poster board sized calendar and a page of ideas for things for us to do this summer. Last week we already went to the zoo (for free!! with the libraries zoo pass) and this week has been filled with swim lessons and water balloons. MANY fun ideas and pictures to come!!

Last Night at Soccer

Reese had her last soccer practice tonight. Its kinda nice to be able to take a break from activities in the summer. I got to get a summer schedule put together and planned out so it doesnt sneak away on us.

A Day Game

I have been a really sucky blogger. I don't know why I really don't do it anymore. Just never seem to get the energy to sit and write how my thoughts or write down things that have happened. I was justl ooking at my blog from the past year and I love looking back at the pictures and the post as kinda a family journal of sorts. So lets see if I can get back on the blogging train and get it done!
Jeremy's granny and papa and Jeremy and I went to Tuscaloosa Alabama April 16 for the Alabama spring game which is Alabama vs. Alabama, a practice game. Which all Roll Tide fans know is a fun game to go to. Jeremy has wanted to go since we moved here and really wanted to share the experience with his Papa. So we packed up in the mini van and went. We actually got a late start there on Friday ( its 3 and 1/2 hours away) and thankfully we did because Tuscaloosa was hit by a tornado in the area we where staying!!! Thankfully everything was ok and just some small property damage. It was so fun to see Jeremy show all the Bama stuff to his Papa. We had a really good time, there was over 92,000 people at a spring game. Alabama fans are die hard for real!!!! We got to the stadium early and got awesome seats, Jeremy was even iterviewed by some Australian TV crew about a player on the team.

First Soccer Practice

Reese had her first soccer practice last monday. I was having flashbacks driving back to the soccer complex and the smell of the grass at night under the lights. Such fun memories. I am so excited for Reese and ALL day she would ask me when she was going to soccer. I was busy chasing Brodie around the fields with his ball.

Fun Lunch

I love Valentines day. I think it is just a cute and fun holiday. Its not one of those uber commercialized holidays to me, its just an excuse to use alot of red and pink (my favorite color!) Today we had a heart wreath and also had lunch in cute little heart baking cups. The kids thought this was so much fun! I got them on clearance last Valentines from Joanns. It helps with portions too even though we did have to have a refill on blueberries. I think my kids can eat a whole pint in one day. They love blueberries (and well all fruit)

A new year

Where has a whole DECADE gone? Wow. The 90's seem like a vast amount of time to me but 2000-2010 when by in a flash. There is no way that was really 10 years, right? Geez, I guess what they say about you getting older and time going by faster really is true. I am so excited for this new year. I am excited about all the future possibilities for our family! I hope everyone had a fun and safe new year! Here is to a wonderful and blessed new year!!!

Peppermint Playdough

I made some peppermint playdough to take over to my nanny-ing job tomorrow for Reese and the kids to play with. I made it in Christmas colors, red, green and white. Here is the recipe I used, I liked not having to cook it over the oven.

1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon peppermint extract (real or imitation)
1/2 cup salt
1 cup flour ( I used a pinch more, just make sure the dough is not sticky)
2 teaspoons cream of tarter

Microwave the water 2 1/2 minutes, then add oil and mint. Then add flour, salt and cream of tarter. I mixed until dough was playdough-y then divided into 3 small balls and colored two, one green and one red and then added glitter for what the hey , its fun and I love glitter. Its smells wonderful and I know the kids will love playing with it.

Reese and her Butterfly

Reese's butterflies are getting older and may need to "fly away" soon, in face we only have one "baby" left, the others have already flown away. So Jeremy wanted her to get to hold one why we still had a chance and it wasnt very springy and young. Reese loved it. Props to her daddy for such a good idea.

We have been painting the past few days and the kids love to get there hands all messy in the paint. Reese is very concerned when she gets dirty and Brodie just loves to "PAINT" as he yells. With Reeses turkey family she is like her mom, everything is a little better with a little (or a lot) of glitter. It just makes me smile :) Love her!

Caterpillars

Reese got a butterfly garden for her birthday so we had to quickly order her some caterpillars. They came in last week and Reese has been so enamored with them. All we hear about is those caterpillars. Here is a picture of her caterpillars about 6 days old (since we got them). They are all girls because Reese says so. Here is a drawing of one she did all on her own! She is way cute about them! I didn't know my girl would be so happy with bugs!

Homemade Granola

This afternoon I made some homemade granola and it was soo yummy! It will be great by itself to snack on ot to make sweet healthy parfaits. I got the recipe from some lady on you tube.

Maple Granola
2 cups oats (not instant the old fashioned kind)
1/2 cup nuts (what you like I did walnuts)
1/3 generous cup of PURE maple syrup
1/4 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla
her recipe she put in a 1/2 cup dried fruit when it cooled but i didnt want fruit in mine but i did add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.

Pre-heat oven to 350. Put oats and nuts in a large bowl, in another mix syrup, oil, brown sugar and vanilla together until sugar is dissolved and pour over oat/nut mixture. Mix and spread on cookie sheet bake 18-20 min stirring a few times. Let cool, then store in covered container.

YUM!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE!! Today is one of the best days ever! Today is my sweet baby girls birthday. She turned 4 today and is so big! She maybe a little bit of a drama queen but she still loves to cuddle and kiss on her mommy :) Happy Birthday my baby girl! I love you! Yes and please don't make fun of my ugly pumpkin cake and yes I know the swiss roll ;ooks like a terd on the top. She loved it anyways :)

This is what October and Halloween is all about, TRICK OR TREATING! We ate dinner at Countrys BBQ which has there waitresses dress up and kids eat free then headed out to Autumn Ridge subdivision and wheeled the kids around. We had a good time but crashed HARD at the end and had to book it home where we of course put on our cutest Halloween jammies that glow in the dark and heading to bed for the best day ever tomorrow.....Reeses 4th birthday!!!

Trunk or Treat!!! Today we went to our ward trunk or treat. It was also a chili cook off. So warm ymmu foods to fill our bellies and fun games to play at everyone's car. It was a fun night and the kids loved there glow stick and went to bed with them.

Pumpkin carving time!!! Its time here in Georgia to carve your pumpkin! You can't carve to early because the humidity will cause you pumpkin to mold and become even more scary, of course if thats the look you are going for.Picture of a little pumpkin reese had to carve only a few days ago...
Reese gutted our pumpkin and I carved out the Nightmare before Christmas mans face.

We got the kids some Franken berry cereal just for the fun of it and they where so excited to eat the spooky cereal. I normally dont buy "treat" cereal but it seemed like a fun treat for the kids. You can find them at your local supermarket for about $2 a box.

Today we made Cinnamon Toasted Pumpkin tarts. They were yummy if you like pumpkin pie. I'm not a big pumpkin pie fan I like muffins and sorts but not pie. They were simple and yummy none the less. I recommend trying them. RECIPE...Enjoy!

Halloween Jello. It was a pain to make. It took a long time. It came out cute. Our colors would have been better had we stayed with orange and yellow but I dont like lemon or orange Jell-o so I chose peach and pineapple and Reese had to have a purple streak so I put that on the bottom. The unflavored Jello you is to make it with smells AWFUL! It almost made me gag. I wouldn't make it again but the kids liked it. Pumpkin patch time!! We went to a local "pumpkin patch" (really a local nursery that has pumpkins for sale and little hay ride) with our local playgroup. The kids had a blast picking out there pumpkin. Brodie would of taken everyone if we would have let him. Reese picked out a little baby pumpkin and she is the mommy. It was a cute little outing with the kids. :)

Tonight I am making shepards pic for dinner. I wanted to make the ghost pile of potatoes on tip but I didn't want them to get all dried out in the oven so I just took some Halloween cookie cutters and cute out some halloweeney shapes out of the cheese. Who doesn't need a chunk of yummy cheese on top? YUM! Sorry my pumpkin looks a little sad he lost his stem when he was cut.

My kids LOVE fries. What kids doesnt right? I am trying to get Reese to eat better these days. I dont worry about Brodie so much because he is still at the age that eats anything. So last night I made special Halloween fries...aka Sweet Potato fries. Brodie didnt like them and kept making funny noises and such but he ate a few and Reese ate her fill and was done, no comments made on how they where yucky or anything....I might have to try this "trick" again ;)

We did marshmellow art today. We made a pumpkin out of the colored marshmellows we had left over from another craft. You can also make a ghost out of white ones on black paper. Reese enjoyed her "snack" and craft in one :) I drew a really rough pumpkin and she lined it with orange marshmellows for the pumpkin and green for the stem, she took it a step further and made a pink face. :)

Reese 4th Bday Party

We had Reese birthday party at my moms house on Saturday. My mom and I have decided that house parties are a lot of work and from now on we are going to a location so we dont have to clean up and be the entertainment for the little ones. Reese had a awesome time telling me that it is the best party ever!! We had the little girls come dressed up like princesses and we decorated crowns, painted nails, did glitter hair and had a wacking of a princess pinata. Even though they wacked me a few times! Ouch! It was really fun seeing my little princess playing with her friends and having a good time. She is getting big way to fast!! Stay little my little princess!! I love you!

Today I made or should I more correctly say I tried to make candy corn pinwheel cookies. I am not a patient person. Something I need to work on. Desperatly. So my dough was a little sticky because I didnt let it sit in the fridge and get cool long enough so we ended up with tie dyed cookies. Still yummy and still cookies so not that much of a fail! LOL! This where I got my recipe and they are supposed to look like this....

like I said tie dyed cookies ;) One had a little swirl.
I need to practice my patience with cookie dough. When I want a baked good I want it now! LOL!

PARTY!!! Today we had Reese's 4th birthday party. It was all girl, very princess themed. She loved it and had a blast! We also went to a witches night out and it was amazing! So much fun to see all the women dressed as witches and the party was wonderful! I left my camera at my moms house, pictures to come tomorrow.

Today and well yesterday too we made bat pumpkins. We painted mini pumpkins black, let them dry then glued black card stock wigs and wiggly eyes and white fangs. Very spooky (cute) bats. The kids really enjoyed making them.

October is such a fun month. Not to mention extra busy! Brodie has had a fever and being feeling a little off the past few days because of his flu shot and so he has been sleeping in until 9:45 (nice!) but then this morning he wanted me to know that he is feeling better so he decided to wake up at 6:50 (not so nice). So I whipped up a batch of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins this morning. I got the recipe from my friend Tamber a while back. They are so moist and delicious. They scream harvest time! Yummm!

1 pkg spice cake mix
1 can pumpkin the smaller can I think its 15 oz
some mini chocolate chips

Mix dry cake mix with pumpkin, spoon into greases muffin tins and cook for as long as the box says for muffins (18-20min at 325 )

Enjoy some warm delicious muffins in the morning! The house is smelling oh so wonderful this morning.

We are also getting ready once I get out of class to head over to the GA national fair. I am so EXCITED!! :)

I really need to make sure I always have my camera with me...dang. I made mummy dogs today for lunch. Reese though they were so cool! I will be making them again before the end of the month. We also had sugar cookies from Pillsbury that are all Halloweeney. Sooo excited for tomorrow. We are going to the GA national fair!!

So I had taken pictures of our adventures today but when you dont have your SD card in your camera is doesnt do you any good. We went to a Fall festival today at Chick fil a and also went to see Spookley the Square pumpkin at the movie theater. Which was AWFUL by the way but the kids loved it. I wanted to poke myself in the eyeball. The kids had a great time. Brodie is a little under the weather. Since it is coming upon flu season the kids got flu shot yesterday and Brodie has had a fever all day and has been super cuddly. I hope he feels better tomorrow.

We are trying to have a fun and fulfilling October so we are broadening our horizons and taking Reese to a play. We are going to see If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Hopefully she will enjoy it.

Today we did a simple Halloween craft. Ripped orange and green paper makes a pumpkin. Reese loves playing this glue and doing crafts. I drew her a little pumpkin to fill in and she took it to the next level and made a mini baby pumpkin on the right hand corner. Too cute! She told me it was her mommy pumpkin and baby pumpkin. Shes on the mommy, baby kick right now where everything has a mommy and a baby. And of course kids love to use 800 pounds of glue.

Today bust out your Halloween books and lay them our for the whole month for you kids to read through and make sure you are reading them every night!! We love spookley the square pumpkin and a really cool Halloween pop up book. I need to be adding A LOT more book to our Halloween collection. We have a few but not 31...yet ;)

Rite Aid

This is my Rite Aid steal of the week!! I did this ladies plan for coupons, I did a little modification geared towards our family (more diapers) and I had a little bit of rite aid UP rewards money already. BUT you can do her deal and get GREAT prices. I am was really excited when I found out the the dollar store here sells Sunday papers on Monday for a $1 not a $1.50 and on Monday so I don't have to worry about trying to have change to get a paper out of the machine. I got all of this for $13.96

FOUR packages of diapers
ONE razor
ONE chapstick and
ONE toothpaste.....for all $13.96 that is CRAZY! Yeah for good deals!

We made a Halloween Haunted house tonight. Reese loved it. They are alot easier than Gingerbread ones because the house part of it comes pre-made but the frosting is CRAZY messy!!!

We are driving out to Gay, Ga today and going to the Cotton Pickin Fair. It full of food, fun and CRAFTS!! It will be a fun day our with the family. Look for a local fair in your area.

Day 1 Halloween Paper dolls

Today for our afternoon activity we are going to do Halloween paper dolls. I found some free super cute ones here. I cut them out covered them with contact paper and put a little magnet strip on the back so we can play with them on a cookie sheet. I am excited to have Reese dress up her little Halloween girl.

I am going to be doing 31 days of Halloween this next month. We LOVE fall and Halloween at our house and its the countdown to Reese 4th birthday too. So we are going to celebrate Halloween all month long! I plan on doing either a Halloween craft, activity or food for the the whole month of Halloween. I am giving everyone advanced notice to pull out your calendars and mark down some ideas for Halloween. I start going back to school in two days too so hopefully I can pull this off! We went to out friends the Murphys house on Monday where they have a chicken coop. They so graciously allowed us to come over and let the kids feed chickens and gather eggs. Reese has so much fun! I wanted to get Reese a dance bag for her dance class on Wednesdays since they have a change of shoes during class, from ballet to tap. The bag I was thinking of getting her was $24 bucks plus and extra $12 to get in monogrammed. To expensive for me so I went looking online to see what I could come up with and I fond this tutu dance bag tutorial. So I went and bought the fabric and with some help from my mom we whipped of a super cute dance bag this afternoon! I am going to get it monogrammed later in the week. Its super cute, Reese loves it and it was WAY cheaper than the other bag (and cuter too!)

I am tired! My mom and I planned to do some freezer meals to help out on nights she has class and cub scout nights and such. I have the Once a month cooking cookbook but saw that they came out with a new one called Once a month cooking -Family Favorites. So we picked out the month plan that best catered to our taste, they also have two week stints if you want to do a smaller amount. The book is awesome because it spells out how much of what you need and makes a shopping list for you and also tells you how much to prepare at one time so you aren't going back and forth chopping. You chop and prepare in one phase and bag everything together in the other. Now it took me a long time!! I started at 9 in the morning and stopped at 5:30 a I finished 22 meals. I am going to go back to my moms and finish the other 10 tomorrow. But it so nice to now she has a months worth of dinners done! Just thaw and follow the directions, which is to put in oer for 45 min and dinner it done! Much faster that preparing every night and better than fast food and better on you wallet and waistline for going out to eat! Just as easy as getting a stoffers lasagna but taste better and a variety of meals. She has chicken, beef and fish and only one casserole. I love it! I know when I get my own place I will do it for our household. There are so many websites dedicated to help you plan OAMC (Once a month cooking)

Urban Decay Makeovers!

We got Urban Decay ( a makeup brand) makeovers at Ulta (a makeup store) a few weeks back. It was really fun and I had a very spunky fun girl do my makeup and she made sure to put a little sparkle in my make up! I love some sparkle! I would wear it every day if I could! EW had a fun girls outing Devin wasn't there because she was at youth conference. :(

Cow Appreciation Day

During the first week of July it was cow appreciation day at Chick Fil A. Where if you dressed up like a cow you got a free meal. I love free stuff but more importantly I LOVE Chick Fil A so I dressed up our gang and headed out to get some free food! The kids love to play in there play places. The one on Macon Rd for your local folks is the best in my opinion. We might not of been the cutest cows but it worked for the hour we needed it to!

My friend Corley suggested after our last movie experience that we should try brining Brodies car seat to the movies to have him sit in and strap him in so we all can enjoy the movie. We tried it today at the dollar theatre and it worked wonderfully! Corley you are a GENIUS! I will be bringing his car seat for all movie adventures we bring him to until he is bing enough to stay still.

I recently bought a bottle of Coppertone sunscreen spray for the kids. It was a 7.5 fl oz bonus can. I used it once or twice and then when we are out of town it stops spraying. Of course I think its clogged or something so I try to clean it out and investigate the spray nozzle. Come to find out the can is out of air pressure to get the sunscreen out and spray it. I have a full can of sunscreen which we all know is expensive that I can't use. I called Coppertone on Friday and explained to them what happened and they where oh so apologetic and nice. Today, three days later I get two brand new bottles of sunscreen and three $1 off coupons for sunscreen. I was pleasently surprised to get my new sunscreen already. Bravo Coppertone for taking care of the customer! :)

Toy Story 3

We went to go see Toy Story 3 for FHE a few weeks ago and loved it! Well at least Reese and I did. Reese at Brodies age would sit through a movie but not Mr. On the go pants. He sat through the previews barely and then Jeremy and I took turns chasing him through the theater before Jeremy through in the towel and just took him home. Poor Jeremy still hasn't seen the movie but I am working on getting him a free ticket from a cereal box code so he can go see it. It was such a cute movie and perfect way to end the Toy Story...story. :)

I haven't been good at updating my blog on time. I think about it and have pictures to post and everything but I just never can get to sitting down and typing it all out. Well for fathers day weekend we went to a Braves game with my mom, Allison, her boyfriend Andrew, Johnny, Parker, Reese and of course Jeremy. We had a really good time. Reese did really well and didnt make a fuss the whole time. Of course she hit up Grandma for a slushy and cotton candy. LOL. She is to funny she walks up to my mom and says "I need money". She knows who is going to give it to her or not! Not me! lol! We also ate at the mexican restraunt we saw on Atlanta housewives, Rosa Mexicano. They had really yummy guacamole but we should of known that if the ATL housewives are eating there it would be pricey! We dont have ATL housewives budgets. But it was still good fun and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. It GA southern Alumni night so there was a LOT of drunks, and one girl who was totally wasted kepy coming up to our car going "Tomahawk chop". She was interesting. Oh yeah and if you wondering where Brodie was he as with his Nana. We didn't think bringing monkey baby was a good idea. He would of been climbing all over everything!

At the end of dance camp they had a little dress up session and showed us a few dance moves. Reese was so enamored with us being there to watch her (My mom, Jeremys mom, Johnny and her daddy) and that my mom had flowers for her that she wasn't even really focusing on the dance moves and would catch on to a few and then blow us kisses. LOL! It was so cute and a great first dance class for her! I can't wait to register her for more! ( I will post pictures late Blogger is being LAME! ) Sad it wont let me put any pictures of Reese....UGH!

Dance Camp!

I signed Reese up for a week long dance camp and I am so happy I did! I woke her up this morning and the first thing she asked to do was put on her dance outfit. She is so cute! She kept kissing me and telling me how excited she was to go to dance camp. This is her first time at a day camp and dance class. She seemed to have a blast! The dance studio have a little camera in the room that plays out onto a TV in the lobby area so we can watch them dance without disrupting class. She was so excited when I picked her up. Brodie was sad to leave her at the camp and wanted to stay and watch himself in the dance mirrors. And No I usually don't put makeup on Reese but she wanted to look like a princess when we left to go to camp to lipstick it was :)

Fireflies

One the side of Jeremy's parents house at night it just lights up with fireflies. They are so pretty. Something about them breathes summer and happiness. After checking on our garden Jeremy took them to "catch" them. Jeremy told Reese that they were like the ones from Princess and the Frog so so wouldn't get all bugged freaked out. It was so cute seeing her catch them and Brodie reach up to try to touch one.

We went to a play group one day and they were planting seeds and having the kids color the pots. We went and had a good time and we planted one zucchini and two cucumber seeds and they have flourished! They are growing like crazy! We already have two baby zucchinis are our plant :) I can't wait till I can have my own big garden one day! Reese loves when we go outside she checks on her veggies every day even multiple times a day!

We have a pumpkin plant...lol and we didn't plant it in my inlaws front yard...lol. I guess it will be really festive come fall when pumpkins are growing on it.

When we went to Disney on Ice I wanted to do something festive for dinner but of course I lost track of time and we had to do a mad dash to McDonalds which Reese loved and Jeremy and I choked down. But the whole time Reese wanted Mickey Pizza because I had told her I would make it for her before the show. So since I was a totally slacker and it didn't get done in time I made it for lunch the next day. She loved making it with me. We made a Micky and Minnie pizza. They turned out really cute.

Disney On Ice

Went to Disney on Ice last night and it was AWESOME! I loved the show. It was a better show than last years. This years show was called "Let's Celebrate" and went through holidays and reasons to have celebrations. We almost didnt go because it can be a little pricey but the cut the price of the tickets and we went. I didn't get the tickets for the Friday show until Thursday before and we got awesome seats. Reese was so excited and wanted to go get her own ice skates to skate with the princesses. I think in another life I would be a Disney on Ice skater...lol not that I know how to skate at all but I love how everything on there costumes are bedazzled and plus I would totally rock the Little Mermaid!! Toy Story characters came out at the end singing the toys are back in town... we are so excited to see that movie coming out. I have decided our family is going to be Toy Story this year for Halloween. Jeremy is going to be Woody and I Bo-peep and Reese will be Jesse and Brodie will be Buzz!! SOO excited! :)

I have been trying to do a little something with Reese everyday that is our "preschool". I found these wipe off books at Target and they are great! It so nice to do the dry erase and just wipe it off and do it again. Reese really enjoys working in these books. Wipe Off Books.

My first 5k!

I ran a 5k this morning. It was awesome! I can't even tell you how nervous I was and my body felt it too. All of a sudden I have cramps and pain everywhere leading up to the race but I was determined to go and run it! I am so happy I did! I know it was only a 5k but I feel such a great sense of accomplishment! It was awesome! I know am going to get started on my resolution of running one a month. It was great to run with a crowd. My time was 34:35! Jeremy ran it with me too and did awesome! It is so nice to have your husband there running with you cheering you on! We are each others cheer leaders!!Before the race

We went to a Gary Allen concert last night. I have since determined I am not a concert person. It was way to loud and the girls there are CRAZY! I saw lots of boobies and girls wiggling about. I think one girl wanted to be the next Mrs. Gary Allen and the other thought she was him! It was a good time though, nice date night with my man! My mom and her friend Charlotte went with us too, it was a good time!

Reeses' First Pedicure

This weekend my little sister Devin had Prom so we needed to take her to get her nails and toes done. My mom had been telling Reese for awhile that Grandma was going to take her to get her first pedicure. Reese was SOOOO excited at the nail salon. Talking to anyone who would listen telling then that she is "getting her nails done" She picked her her color, pink of course and got to sit in a mini pedicure chair that had a fairy on it. She was so excited the whole time she could barely keep still. They lady had to keep telling her to stay still. She even got little flowers painted on her big toes and thumb nails. She also shows off her nails to anyone walking by! My mom is making her rotten so when she turns into a teenage I will have more that a handful to handle on her...LOL!

Littlest Pet Shop Palooza!

Thanks to her cousins Reese has found Littlest Pet Shops and LOVES them! They aren't that bad to get once in awhile but if you want a decent group of them it is going to cost you a pretty penny! Reese had about 10 of them and she got two "houses" from her Nana for Christmas. Jeremy's cousin Ivey also LOVED littlest pet shops years ago when she was the same age as Reese but now being older at the rip age of ten, she has no need for them so we bought them from her mom! Awesome deal for us!! I am so happy we have them! We got 5 houses, a storage box and a butt load of pets for $20 bucks!! Thank you Carlee!!! Reese is in Littlest Pet Shop Heaven!!

Mrytle Beach

We where able to hitch hike our way on my moms vacation ;). We went to her time share in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. It was beautiful! It was kinda windy some days but really great weather. We had a fun trip. Jeremy and my Mom had to come home on Sunday because they had to go to work but Jeremy was able to come back on Monday! I was so happy! All in all it was a great time! Thank you mom for letting us go!

Make up AGAIN!

Reese was so quiet again.....bad sign. I find Reese looking like Pocahontas. She has gotten ever bit of a bronzer I don't ever use ALL over her face and shirt. She had concealer, eye shadow, glitter and mascara EVERYWHERE! I wasn't very angry that she was in my makeup but more upset that she didn't ask me for it and it was horrible to get off! It took some major scrubbing and the tub has a nasty brown ring in it now. I wasn't thinking to get a picture of her but I got a picture of what her shirt looked like....and her face was 10x worse. I swear she was as dark as Pocahontas!

I tried to be a festive mommy and did have a big hit with the rainbow cupcakes but I made Brodie green eggs this morning and the man who eats anything turned his nose up to them. I was going to make green pancakes but fund out we where out of pancake mix. It was sad. I even tried to get him to take a bite and his spit it out like i just fed him liver. LOL .Reese liked her green milk with a rainbow Trix cereal (normally a treat but thought it was festive cereal on a day like today) Then got her ready for school and she was just sour and didn't want to go. We went anyways. Here is my not so happy lad and lassie. I love his face, like you want me to eat THAT!!?! lol

Rainbow Cupcakes!

For St. Patricks day I made rainbow cupcakes for the kiddies. Reese helped and Brodie watched. I got the idea from Family Fun magazine (I LOVE that magazine). They turned out really cute. They look kinda crazy when you take them out of the oven but when you cut them in half they are adorable! Here is the recipe in case you want to make them and you know you do ;) I think I want to do a cupcake party where I make the colors and the kids layer the colors and see how they come out. Prepare you favorite white cake mix (we used 18.25 ounce box) then divide the batter evenly among six smalls bowls and follow the following colors. Purple - 9 red and 6 blue drops. Blue- 12 drops. Green - 12 drops. Yellow - 12 drops. Orange - 12 yellow and 4 red drops. Red - 18 drops. Layer cupcakes from purple on up. Gently spread the color so it covers the color underneath. Cook according to directions on package.YUM!!!

I loved this movie and I am so happy that it is coming out next week. I think I am going to have Reese follow clues from a sneaky leprechaun (St. Pattys day) and find her pot of gold at the end with the movie :) I found a $10 off coupon HERE for the Blue ray combo pack and and rebate HERE for buying band aids and the movie. Consignment sales

This has been a week of consignment sales here in GA. The first was was the big Just for Kidz sale which turned out to really bomb for me this time. I did end up getting a very like new bike for Reese for $20 and a few good book for a buck or two. The big winner was at the Wynbrook Baptist consignment today. I got great clothes for Brodie and two BEAUTIFUL smocked dresses for Reese but the greastest deal was a Graco Totblock, which is a giant pack and play. Its big enough for Reese and even older! Its nice to have a big portable bed she can sleep in at Grandmas. I love it! I have been looking for one and the usually sell USED for $50. I couldn't find one at the first consignment and almost missed it at the second one. My mom and I went to go over our selections and it was in the back of the sale looking brand new with its carrier bag and everything for $20!!! Its sells new for $100!! I was so happy for my deal of the day :)

We got Brodie's haircut this weekend. He looks like a little man now. He is so cute! They cute his little whispies out but as soon as we got home and took a both his hair curled right back up.
